Course Objectives The aims of the course are to describe the widely used basic electrotherapy modalities in the clinic and to apply these modalities which are based on the principles of ergonomics with clinical practice together.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To be able to use the up to date knowledge about effect mechanisms and current properties in maintenance and usage of the electrotherapy modalities,
  • To be able to select right electrods for treatment area and give proper ergonomic positions for different pathologies,
  • To be able to define the problem during practice and to continue the practice with creative solutions,
  • To be able to maintain right and open communication with patients, patient's relatives and team collegues,
  • To be able to carry through the necessity of job security and environment protection before treatment, during treatment and after treatment,
  • To be able to make proper practice by considering social, cultural and universal ethical values.
Course Description The course of the semester is defined as follows; diadynamic current and practice application, interference current and practice application, Russian current and fields of application, high-voltage discrete galvanic stimulation and practice application, laser and practice application, the biofeedback mechanism and practice application and finally comparison of electrotherapy
